Electronic Health Records

Selection, acquisition, installation, implementation, and clinical and business process improvement are part of a successful EHR project. At New Directions, we are here to help you navigate through the challenges of selecting and successfully utilizing an electronic health record, while focusing on maximizing revenue and improving patient care.

First, we will help you select the right EHR for your practice and help you navigate through the complex process of licensing and financing. Then our implementation services include installation of the technology, as well helping you select the right hardware (desktops, tablets, workstations) for your practice.

EHRs do change the way you practice medicine, but we can help the change be a positive one. Technology must be adapted to work with your clinical processes. And some of your processes can be streamlined, helping you become more productive while patient care is improved. A win-win for you and your patients.

At New Directions, we have teamed with two leading health information technology companies, Allscripts and GE, to bring to you an EHR that improves your practice, while helping you become eligible for EHR incentives.

Contact us today to talk about our no-obligation assessment of which EHR would be right for you. Let us help you receive YOUR share of the stimulus incentives.

Did You Know?

  • In early 2009, the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act became effective as part of the stimulus package (a.k.a. American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)). The HITECH Act encourages the adoption of electronic health records (EHRs) through incentive payments to physicians.
  • Your medical practice could be eligible to receive up to $44,000 in total incentives per physicians for “meaningful use” of a “certified” electronic health record (or EHR).
